This Lent, I invite you on a journey—one that weaves together movement, reflection, and renewal.
As a runner, I’ve found that the lessons from the road, the trail, and even the hardest training days mirror the rhythms of life and faith. Lent, too, is a season of challenge and transformation—a time to pause, reflect, and move with intention.
What Is Lent
Lent is a 40-day season (not counting Sundays) leading up to Easter. It begins on March 5, Ash Wednesday, a day when many receive a cross of ashes as a reminder of our shared humanity. Traditionally, this season has been a time of preparation, echoing the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness. But no matter where you are on your spiritual path—whether you’ve been part of a faith tradition for years, stepped away, or never connected with one at all—this journey is open to you.
I believe in creating spaces where movement and meaning come together, where we can reflect, grow, and support one another. This isn’t about judgment, expectations, or having all the answers. It’s about grace, curiosity, and taking the next step—wherever that may lead.
So, I invite you to join me for Lent on the Run, a daily devotional series running from March 5 (Ash Wednesday) through April 20 (Easter Sunday). Each day, I’ll share a short reflection inspired by themes from the running community—endurance, perseverance, rest, and growth—not just in movement, but in life.
No matter who you are, where you’ve been, or what you believe, you are welcome here. Let’s take this journey together—one step, one reflection, one day at a time.
